    What are the SDGs?
  • The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (2030 Agenda) was unanimously adopted at the UN Summit in September 2015. The 2030 Agenda includes 17 SDGs and 169 targets as development goals for the entire international community, including developed countries.

  • What is Aichi Prefecture's SDGs Future City initiative?
  • It is an initiative that selects cities and regions with a particularly high potential for realizing sustainable development through the creation of new value in the three dimensions of economy, society, and environment from among those that promote basic and comprehensive efforts in line with the principles of the SDGs.

    Aichi Prefecture was selected as an SDGs Future City by the Cabinet Office on July 1, 2019. It has formulated the Aichi Prefecture SDGs Future City Plan (plan period: FY2019-2021) and is promoting initiatives based on the plan to achieve the SDGs.
